Captain's Authority
The captain is responsible for the safety of all guests, the vessel, and the cruise itself.
All instructions given by the captain must be followed immediately.
If the captain believes that a guest's behaviour, intoxication, or actions may compromise safety, the captain may end the cruise without refund.
Arrival & Boarding
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure.
- Guests board and disembark at their own risk and should do so carefully.
- Late arrivals may result in a shortened cruise or a missed departure.
While On Board
- Guests must remain seated while the vessel is moving unless instructed otherwise by the captain.
- Running, jumping, climbing, leaning over railings, or standing on furniture is not permitted.
- Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
Alcohol & Behaviour
- Alcohol may be enjoyed responsibly on board.
- Excessive intoxication, disruptive behaviour, or unsafe conduct is not permitted.
- The captain may refuse service or end the cruise if any guest behaves in a way that compromises safety or the experience of others.
Smoking
Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not permitted on board unless the captain explicitly allows it.
Weather & Safety
Safety always comes first.
If weather conditions, wind, visibility, or other circumstances make it unsafe or impractical to sail, Canal Club may postpone, reschedule, or cancel the cruise.
In such cases, guests will be offered either an alternative date or a refund, depending on the situation.
Safety Equipment
- Appropriate safety equipment, including life jackets where required, is available on board.
- The captain may require guests to use safety equipment at any time.
- Canal Club must always ensure that the correct safety equipment is available for all passengers.
Personal Belongings
- Guests are responsible for their own belongings.
- Canal Club is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
Capacity Limits
- The maximum guest capacity may never be exceeded.
- The captain's decision regarding safety and capacity is final.
Health & Medical Conditions
- Guests are responsible for informing Canal Club of any relevant medical conditions, mobility issues, or other circumstances that may affect participation.
- If a guest is unsure whether they can safely participate, they should contact Canal Club before departure.
General Legal & Safety Compliance
Guests agree to follow all onboard safety rules, local regulations, and any instructions necessary to comply with Danish law and maritime safety requirements. This information does not replace the captain's instructions or any legally required safety procedures for the specific vessel or cruise type.
Right to Refuse or End Service
Canal Club reserves the right to refuse boarding, cancel a departure, or end a cruise if:
- a guest behaves unsafely,
- a guest is too intoxicated,
- weather or sea conditions become unsafe,
- the guest count exceeds the allowed capacity,
- or the captain determines that safety cannot be maintained.
